This position is Career Level 29P, Home Based, with a Role Classification of Fully Remote.

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.

  • In the state of California, the salary range is $114,500- $194,800.
  • In the state of Colorado, the salary range is $104,100 - $177,100.
  • In the state of Washington, the salary range is $114,500- $194,800.
  • In New York City, New York, the salary range is $124,900 - $212,500.
  • In Westchester County, New York, the salary range is $124,900 - $212,500.

Role Summary

 

The Solutions Architect plays a key role in building a holistic view and a transformation roadmap for the Front Office technology and application landscape. A key component of this role is the ownership of the application, information, and technology strategies and alignment to business strategy, processes and organization.  These strategies define the guiding principles and goals of how technology enables business functions like Sales, Marketing and servicing of customers. The incumbent must remain continuously aware of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and act as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.  The position requires a high degree of collaboration and detailed communication across multiple teams.

Responsibilities within this Role

 

 

  • In partnership with Enterprise and other Solution architects, define solution architecture and technical context diagrams in alignment to business/technology strategy, specific initiative functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Keep the technical footprint current (fitness assessment, technical debt, application health etc.)
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration with EA group, peer Domain Architects and Solution Architects
  • Understanding, advocating and supporting the IT strategy, as well as analyzing the servicing operations IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Leading, promoting and communicating domain architecture progress, outcomes and results
  • Provide technical consultation, research, etc. for application development projects as needed.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of standard technologies and/or products.  
  • Analyzing IT industry and market trends to determine their impact on the business and operations
  • Provide technical leadership and consulting to the development teams
  • Support development team management and solution architects to ensure domain development teams compliance with the enterprise architecture standards, quality of code, adherence to metrics/targets.
  • Identifying the organizational resources, structures and cultural change necessary to support the enterprise architecture
  • Ensure application developers have appropriate knowledge, experience, tooling, environments, and support in order to become a high performing team
  • Constantly keeping an eye on optimal utilization technology investments. Assists in the budgeting process

Qualification requirements

 

  • 15+ years of Software Architecture and Development experience working at enterprise level initiatives
  • 2+ years of Cloud Architecture and Development experience (AWS experience and certifications highly desirable)
  • 5+ years of experience working in Agile teams and working across multiple teams

Required Education:

Bachelor in MIS Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Desired Education:

Advanced Degree a plus

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of cloud architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple related disciplines (architecture/design and application development) working with structured methodologies and development of complex large scale applications
  • Experience in Dev Ops model of development and helping teams move from traditional to Dev Ops model
  • Experience in full stack development using languages like Java, Python, Node.js and JavaScript frameworks like Angular and React.
  • Experience with REST or similar API frameworks in context of enterprise level API portals  
  • Excellent knowledge of securing applications in a cloud environment
  • Experience with architecting solutions spanning across “On Cloud” and “On Prem”
  • Good knowledge of modern data solutions in the cloud and data exchange formats
  • In-depth understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Event Driven Architecture, frameworks, enterprise integration patterns including security patterns. 
  • Knowledge of web and data technologies from an architecture direction standpoint and from an experienced implementation perspective
  • Experience in XML/​XSL/​XSLT/​XSD, SOAP, WSDL, HTTP, REST, and AJAX development and/or architecture
  • Working knowledge of SQL and advanced queries
  • Security of distributed web applications
