YOUR TEAM

The Group ConMod Team is responsible for key areas of software design activities for the future Group ConMod microcontroller (uC) software stack. Working closely with various technical teams, the vision, architecture, as well as the design and implementation of the next embedded software stack for connectivity - used across the entire group - are developed here. The team enjoys exploring new territory, challenging existing approaches, and further developing innovative solutions. As part of CARIAD’s Senior Technical Team, the departmentalso collaborates closely with various stakeholders from the technical units of the Volkswagen Group.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and develop AI / machine‑learning components that are integrated into series development processes (e.g. bug analysis, system analytics ...)
  • Build and maintain ML pipelines, covering data ingestion, preprocessing, training, evaluation and inference for series usecases like bug analysis
  • Deploy and operate AI systems in Cariad infrastructure including monitoring, performance optimisation and continuous improvement of model behaviour
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (data science, software engineering, product) to align AI solutions
  • Actively monitor AI and machine‑learning developments and evaluate new methods, tools and architectures for practical use
  • Empower your Team and colleagues with AI tools and share the knowledge within the devTeams

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in a technical field or comparable qualification
  • Strong background in software development with hands‑on experience building and maintaining production systems
  • Solid knowledge of AI machine‑learning concepts (e.g. supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning) and their real‑world application
  • Proficiency in Python, C++ and experience integrating ML models (ML Ops) into applications or services
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch or comparable technologies)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and deploying AI workloads in scalable environments MCP servers etc.
  • Understanding of data handling and preparation, including working with large datasets and feature engineering
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and work effectively in cross‑functional teams
  • Professional proficiency in English at C1 level, German language skills are an advantage
