Microsoft Identity Technical Lead

We are looking for a Microsoft Identity Technical Lead who is collaborative and proactive to join us in our Digital Identity Solutions team, based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

As Microsoft Identity Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the global direction and evolution of Microsoft technologies managing identity and access across UCB. You will combine team leadership with strong technical expertise, leading a team of technical experts to translate our security strategy and roadmap into concrete projects while maintaining reliable day-to-day operations.

With a global scope covering regions including Europe, the United States and Japan, you will play a key role in enabling secure access to systems and applications within and beyond UCB.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a team that plays a central role in UCB’s global cyber security strategy. You will lead and coordinate a group of technical experts while collaborating closely with Cyber Security, other technology leads, application teams and colleagues across the wider organization.

You will also contribute to cross-functional technology projects, helping teams integrate new applications securely into UCB’s identity environment, and present key projects and technology roadmaps to senior stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coordinate a team of technical experts, organizing priorities across projects, operational activities and incidents
• Define and drive the global architecture and roadmap for Microsoft identity technologies across cloud and on-premises environments
• Drive identity projects from requirements gathering and solution design through technical implementation, integration and delivery
• Contribute to UCB’s Zero Trust security strategy using Microsoft identity and security technologies
• Maintain strong expertise across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, certificate services and related identity technologies
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and application teams to integrate new systems securely into UCB’s identity environment
• Communicate technical strategies, projects and roadmaps clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a technical lead, combining experience leading technical experts with strong hands-on Microsoft identity expertise
• Strong experience designing, implementing and evolving complex Microsoft identity and access management solutions in cloud and on-premises environments
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, certificate services and the broader Microsoft security ecosystem
• Strong understanding of identity and access management standards and concepts, including role-based access control, SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end and structuring teams to balance strategic projects, operational responsibilities and infrastructure incidents
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into clear recommendations for different audiences
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset
