About Us

STARK is a defence technology company redefining how autonomous and electronic warfare systems are engineered and deployed. We design, build, and operationalise high-performance EW and unmanned systems that provide NATO forces with decisive advantages in contested electromagnetic environments. Our work is grounded in precision, responsibility, and uncompromising engineering discipline.

Your mission

As the Lead C2 EW engineer, you will serve as the technical authority, collaborating closely with the chief EW engineer to translate complex RF physics into high-level command and control functionalities. You will be the technical authority responsible for integrating advanced EW capabilities into our Minerva C2 stack, evolving our software architecture to handle sensor fusion and advanced data visualisation. This is a system-level development role where you will expand and lead a focused team of engineers to help us dominate the electromagnetic spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead architect and developer for EW Command and control, ensuring seamless Integration between EW subsystem and the command stack.

  • Lead the design and development of both Typescript based UX integration and potentially High Performance C++ data post-processing.

  • Focusing on taking our advanced EW efforts to the Minerva command and control ecosystem, enabling drone operators the use of an expanding suite of EW capabilities.

  • Develop algorithms for sensor fusion to provide unified situational awareness and design advanced data visualisation tools for complex RF telemetry.

  • Act as the technical bridge between the EW core system and our command and control system, ensuring constraints  and abilities are accurately reflected in the user model.

  • Take ownership of the EW software C2 roadmap and eventually recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team.

  • Define rigorous integration testing protocols to ensure system reliability in highly contested, real-world EW environments.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency in modern software development, likely including but not limited to TypeScript and C++.

  • A solid understanding of system-level architecture, including backend and frontend development. Including performance and memory management tradeoffs for complex

  • Proven experience in complex system-level development (this is more critical than prior EW-specific experience, though the latter is a plus).

  • A strong interest and understanding visualizing & manipulating complex data sets

  • The ability to communicate structured technical visions to stakeholders, combined with the desire to both lead an effective engineering team and individually contribute to the codebase.

Relevant Backgrounds

  • Engineers who have moved back and forth between systems/theory-intensive roles and heavy software systems development.

  • Experience with C2 stacks, tactical data links, or large-scale autonomous system orchestration.

  • Background in Radar, EW-sensors, Software Defined Radio (SDR), or complex wave propagation.

  • Experience with sensor fusion, Fourier methods, signal processing, or translating physical phenomena into usable information.

Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills

  • A strong understanding of RF or Physics, paired with professional software engineering experience. You should get comfortable speaking both RF and Code.

  • Prior experience with defense command and control software.

  • Hands-on experience with jamming theory, threat-driven RF effects, or EW tactics.

  • Familiarity with advanced data visualisation frameworks for real-time telemetry.

  • A strong desire to learn the specifics of the EW domain on the job while applying your existing systems expertise.
