Build AI-driven cybersecurity solutions with Python for ESET, a global leader.
Summary
You will become part of the AI and Automated Detection sub-division in Bratislava. Backed by a major AI investment program across the company, we build systems that defend against real-world cyber threats at scale, from automated threat detection processing terabytes of behavioral data, to multi-agent AI systems that help security analysts work faster, to SOAR platforms that automate incident response.Job description
Our work spans distributed backend services, machine learning pipelines, LLM-powered agents, and production security tooling.
As a Python Software Engineer on the AI Security Platform, you build the backend systems that power AI-driven threat detection, automated incident response, and LLM-based security tooling. You will join one of three teams based on your interests and our needs, each tackling a different part of the security stack.
About the Role
Design, build, and maintain distributed backend services and processing pipelines in Python.
Develop asynchronous, event-driven systems and message-based integrations across services.
Work with one of three focus areas, chosen based on your interests and team needs:
Detection Systems: automated threat detection pipelines, detection engine integrations, and high-volume data processing.
LiveAI: multi-agent AI systems, LLM-powered assistants, agent orchestration, and evaluation infrastructure.
SOAR Platform: microservice ecosystem for incident handling, automation workflows, and AI-powered Security Operations Center capabilities.
Take ownership of services across their full lifecycle, from design and deployment to monitoring and troubleshooting.
Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
Collaborate with software engineers, security researchers, and security operators across the division.
Essential Requirements
Strong software development experience with Python.
Experience designing and developing backend services or distributed systems.
Understanding of asynchronous programming and distributed task processing.
Experience working with APIs and service integrations.
