What you'll be doing

As a Staff Software Engineer in the Consumer Wealth team, you'll play a defining and strategic role in shaping how our users grow and manage their savings and investments. You'll be the go-to technical expert for the Consumer domain, driving initiatives that empower millions to build financial well-being. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

• Define Technical Strategy: Define the technical strategy for the Consumer Wealth domain. Architect complex subsystems that power savings and investment features, leading initiatives that impact multiple groups.

• Advance the Architecture: Design and build scalable, high-quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, simplifying back-end systems for wealth management.

• Technical Thought Leadership: Build cross-organizational relationships to drive technical alignment and represent the technical vision internally and externally.

• Develop Talent: Develop the next generation of technical leaders and champion a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.

• Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technology trends in FinTech and wealth management, applying them to enhance our "source of truth" and user experience.

• Generate Impact: Contribute to the mission-critical back-end infrastructure that directly helps users reach their financial goals.

Who we're looking for

We need a visionary problem-solver who excels in cross-team collaboration and possesses deep technical expertise. Does it sound like you?

• Extensive Experience: You have at least 7 years of related experience in back-end software engineering, with a track record of architecting microservices and complex cloud environments.

• Domain Expertise: Deep experience with Java and a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus). Experience with transactional consistency or regulated environments is a major advantage.

• Strategic Communication: You communicate in a structured and convincing manner, building trust and professional relationships across the organization for technical alignment.

• Thought Leadership: You have a proven ability to generate intellectual property and identify emerging technology trends to drive long-term vision.

• Language proficiency: You are passionate about FinTech and wealth management and are fluent in English.

Salary: €64,000- €88,000 gross per annum
This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria for the role's core requirements. However, we do not believe in putting a ceiling on talent. The final compensation package is tailored according to your unique experience and expertise.
