About the team

 

We are highly motivated and united team working in a friendly environment, actively collaborating with each other and with other teams. As Cloud DevOps Engineers, we are constantly seeking ways to improve the availability of the SAP Business Technology Platform and the services running on top of it. Our mission is to provide, protect and improve the SAP HANA and SAP ASE database services on the platform with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, performance, and capacity.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP BTP iXp Intern – Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Expected start date: 01 August 2026

 

In this role, you’ll:

 

• Learn fast, constantly acquire, and improve your knowledge of technologies & processes
• Learn about Data Management solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform and how to operate and support SAP HANA, SAP ASE, PostgreSQL and Redis database systems in the cloud.
• Work closely with other teams to make automations, optimisations and maintain the DB environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and issues.

 

Who you are:

 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

 

• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Experience in programming
• Experience working with relational databases
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Design Patterns, and OOP principles
• Knowledge of Unix / Linux environments and shells
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Proactive and open-minded team player
• Ability to self-learn rapidly while applying knowledge effectively
• Good verbal/written English communication skill
