About the role
We are seeking a Senior Solution Analyst, Solution Architect, who will play a key role in the delivery and operating of the Architecture Community of Practice and our modern Architecture Ways of Working, establishing a true “Architecture as a Strategy” culture and mindset. They will drive change activity across the enterprise’s technology and process landscape and will proactively lead the alignment to Reckitt’s Architecture Principles and Standards.
The role will have a 360-degree view across our technology landscape and will work collaboratively with Enterprise Architects and with our Capability & IMEX Teams. The role is in our Enterprise Architecture team and reports to the IT&D Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect (Governance & Solution Architecture).
The role is accountable for the creation and update of solution architecture designs and associated artefacts, ensuring effective, frictionless delivery of architectural change within IT&D. They will be one of a team of IT&D Solution Architects that will be assigned to the relevant demands and projects to design and select solutions for all IT&D capability teams.
They will work in partnership with IT&D functional teams, capability owners, dedicated architects and suppliers, to deliver against demands and project requiring solution architecture, aligned to our architecture standards, technology choices and overall strategic goals.
Your responsibilities
- The role will act as a key transformation agent for Reckitt. You will be a driving force embedding our operating model, and empowering IT&D teams with the tools, artefacts, support network and ways of working to minimise unnecessary architecture handoffs.
- Creating solution designs that will meet business requirements, integrating the chosen technology solution into Reckitt’s landscape. Guide and define how non-functional requirements should be met. Driving the use and adoption of Reckitt platform services and correct use patterns (data, integrations etc).
- Partner with Infrastructure Architects where hosting or integration is required to Cloud, Datacentre or local sites is required, ensuring compliant and secure solutions.
- Responsible the quality of solution designs and associated output. Responsible to ensure adherence to best practices, technical standards. Provide solution architecture assurance during delivery.
- Create and updates TAS documents & provide support through Technical Review Board (TRB) process.
- Review and input into RFPs providing and assessing on technical requirements and questions. Conduct vendor and solution searches for input into RFP or roadmap.
- Provide technical advisory services to capability and IMEX teams, assisting them to align to patterns, standards and other associated reference architecture.
- Identifying enhancements and updating Architecture Reference document (Patterns, Standards and Decision Trees) as required.
- Collaborate with project teams, ensuring strategic alignment and adherence to Reckitt’s architecture principles and standards.
- Partner with platform teams and associated Enterprise Architects to ensure that patterns and roadmap architecture is embedded into approach and designs.
- Partner with the Global Cyber Security function to ensure that security architecture is embedded into all areas of the Enterprise Architecture Ways of Working.
- Bring an agile mindset to support a modern Architecture approach to solving complex business problems and digital transformation.
The experience we're looking for
- Experience as Solution Architect and subject matter expert within a Technology or Business domain.
- Knowledge of the technologies and architectures associated with digital transformation.
- Pragmatic approach with good understanding of how to manage constraints and conflicting priorities.
- Highly motivated with good analysis, execution, and communication skills, who can collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- A good influencer, communicator and storyteller, with the ability to make complex technical information simple and accessible for non-technical audiences
- Exposure to architectural approaches, models and frameworks, such as TOGAF, with a experience of using enterprise level technology artefacts to support business and technology design decisions.
- Good Technology expertise in Core IT domains or relevant Functional domains.
- Experience in the creation, management and driving the adoption of reference architecture.
- Experience with architecture governance, design authority processes, and overall solution design management processes.
- Experience with modern tools, techniques and technologies in support of enterprise scale digital transformation management.
- Commercially aware.
- Able to deal with ambiguity.
