As a Senior DevOps Engineer within the Agile Delivery Prime Services Tribe of RBI, you will drive the adoption of DevOps best practices to accelerate and improve software delivery on AWS. Our self-developed banking applications are hosted on internal PaaS. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines, bridging development and operations to continuously deliver value to our customers.

 

Your mission:

 

  • Collaborate in an agile, multicultural team to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using modern DevOps tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to embed DevOps principles and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows leveraging AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, Route 53).
  • Build and maintain automated pipelines using Argo CD and Kargo for GitOps-based deployments.
  • Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Crossplane or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor application performance and infrastructure health using Grafana, OpenSearch, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Enforce security best practices, including access management and compliance standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning by creating user stories and contributing to Agile ceremonies.

 

Core Competencies:

 

 

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in large-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise with AWS cloud services and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Hands-on experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD and deployment automation with Kargo.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane) and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (Grafana, OpenSearch, CloudWatch).
  • Deep understanding of cloud security standards and best practices.
  • Ability to architect scalable, cost-effective, and performant cloud solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or other CEE languages is a plus.
