Overview Tremend is looking for a Technical Lead to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services Define and evolve system architecture, coding standards, and best practices Act as a technical decision-maker and point of escalation for complex issues Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, and critical system components Mentor and coach engineers, supporting technical and career growth Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (clean code, testing, CI/CD) Ensure software quality, performance, security, and scalability Participate in planning, estimation, and delivery commitments Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications: Extensive software development experience, primarily with Java Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+), OOP, and design patterns Experience with Kotlin is required Extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot and RESTful APIs Proven experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical lead Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems Experience with relational databases and SQL Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) Excellent communication and leadership skills Set yourself apart with: Experience in a people-management or player-coach role Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud DevOps and CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions etc.) Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS) Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform) Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Service Bus) Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana) Experience with security best practices Additional information Besides an exciting job in a tremendous team, here's what you can expect: A fast-paced tech environment Continuous growth & learning Open feedback culture Room for own initiative & ideas Transparency about results & strategy Recognition & reward for hard work Working with a flexible schedule Medical subscription Meal tickets 25 vacation days Many others perks
