Which team will you be joining?

Getting paid is only half the story — understanding and managing those payments is where the real work begins!

In the Financial Operations team we build the tools and infrastructure that enable merchants to take control of their payments — reconciling funds, resolving disputes, monitoring performance, and automating the operations that keep everything running smoothly.

We also own Global Accounts, giving merchants the ability to hold, manage and move funds across currencies and markets — a foundational capability as Primer expands its reach into more complex, cross-border payment environments.

This team covers: Reconciliation, Disputes, Monitors, Workflows, Operations Automation, Global Accounts & FX, Account Management, and Dashboard Login (SSO).

🔍 What will you be doing?

• Designing and implementing core backend services for high performance, complex distributed systems

• Driving and using modern development practices such as BDD and TDD would be highly beneficial

• Creating clear, modern, well tested code

• Collaborating across teams in a product-driven environment

• Taking ownership of key technology decisions, building for scale and optimising for output

• Conducting code reviews and continuously look at ways of improving our ways of working

• Creating detailed internal documentation for the projects you work on

👀 What we’d love to see:

• Experience coding Python in modern, complex technical environments

• Experience with testing frameworks and a good approach to writing testable, maintainable code.

• Understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)

• Highly motivated self-starter who values autonomy and getting things done

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

• You will need to be based in: Poland, Portugal, Hungary, Romania or South Africa.
