Why join us?
We’re transforming at pace. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to change the way we meet the needs of our 28 million customers. We’re growing, and we’d love you to be part of the journey.
What we’re looking for:
- Market Risk Domain Expertise & Quantitative Expertise
- Advanced Risk Engine SME: Extensive experience analysing, designing, and optimising massive Historical-Simulation VaR and Stressed VaR (sVaR) engines. Deep domain knowledge of risk sensitivities, standalone versus contributory VaR reporting, and intraday VaR calculation methodologies.
- Complex Model Migration & Proxying: Proven track record of executing complex risk model migrations, specifically transitioning from broad sector, seniority, and ratings-based averages to precise, granular ISIN-driven approaches using sophisticated proxy methodologies for incomplete market data.
- Regulatory & Benchmark Transition: Direct experience navigating major structural and regulatory market shifts, such as IBOR/RFR transitions, and delivering mandated changes, including FDSF — Firm Data Submission Framework — into core risk systems without disrupting production SLAs.
- High-Performance Risk Architecture & Cloud-Native Data Platforms
- Deep SQL Server and Azure SQL Hyperscale expertise, including performance tuning, execution plan analysis, partitioning, clustered column store optimisation across billions of rows, ETL architecture, and large-scale analytical processing.
- Front-to-Back Cross-Asset Platform Integration: Technical familiarity with core enterprise trading, valuation, and risk platforms, specifically Murex and Summit, including STP pipeline configuration, MUST functionality for complex structured derivatives, cross-entity ledger migrations, and front-to-back valuation and risk reconciliations.
- Strategic Delivery Leadership & Tactical Execution
- Bridges Quants, Risk, and Core IT: Exceptional ability to drill into the underlying mathematics of a VaR change alongside Risk Managers and Quants, translate those needs into precise technical requirements, and build the automated integrity tools required for robust release testing.
