At ISISPACE, we don’t just build satellites—we also operate them. Our inhouse Ground Segment (GS) handles everything from user interfaces for commanding and telemetry to low-level satellite packet processing.
As part of the GS-software development team, you’ll take ownership of existing and new projects, driving the evolution of our Mission Control Software suite. The MCS automates satellite operations and controls our next-generation satellites. Your responsibilities will include making architecture decisions, leading design and development, managing the product roadmap, and providing user support.
You’ll ensure value for both internal and external users by translating needs into clear requirements, designing practical solutions, and developing robust architectures and software implementations. You’ll approach problem-solving holistically, prioritize effectively, and understand that success requires iteration.
Additionally, you’ll provide technical coaching to the GS-software team and advise management on technical developments and needs.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
Own the ground segment software technical roadmap, aligning it with company goals and ensuring its feasibility and success.
Take charge of the ground segment software architecture and lead its development in line with the roadmap.
Design and develop extensions and new applications, and maintain existing software in collaboration with the development team and users (internal/external).
Evaluate and select suitable technologies, perform trade-offs, and propose design changes.
Provide technical coaching to the Ground Segment software team.
Conduct code and design reviews.
