At ENGIE, we accelerate the energy transition through innovation and technology. Artificial intelligence is a key pillar of this transformation. We are looking for an AI Engineer who will actively contribute to the development of tomorrow’s AI solutions.

 

In this role, you will work closely with business needs and translate them into effective AI solutions. You will design, implement, and optimize Generative AI solutions that deliver tangible value and create real impact across the organization.

 

Responsabilities:

  • Analysis of business requirements and their transformation into concrete AI solutions.
  • Collaboration with business teams to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
  • Design and implementation of Generative AI solutions, including chatbots, assistants, and AI agents.
  • Definition and implementation of RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) architectures using vector databases.
  • Integration of LLM models approved within the ENGIE ecosystem (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
  • Ensuring the integration of AI solutions with ENGIE’s enterprise architecture systems (SAP, Salesforce, Datalake, MyENGIE, Call Center, Microsoft 365).
  • Ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (AI Act, GDPR, internal policies).
  • Configuration of security mechanisms, access control, and data protection for AI solutions.
  • Monitoring the performance, costs, and accuracy of implemented Generative AI solutions.
  • Implementation of logging, monitoring, alerting, and cost control mechanisms for AI solutions.
  • Testing the functionality, accuracy, and robustness of generated responses, including hallucination reduction.
  • Development and optimization of prompts, conversation templates, and AI workflows.
  • Providing technical support and evolutionary maintenance for AI solutions running in production.
  • Implementation of RAG architectures over internal and external data sources.
  • Documentation of developed AI solutions in line with the ENGIE project methodology.
  • Technical documentation of delivered AI solutions and underlying architectures.
  • Contribution to the definition of internal standards for the use of artificial intelligence within the organization.
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer to IT and business teams.
  • Continuous evaluation of technologies and trends in the Generative AI domain.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • University degree in IT or related fields, completed with a Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Science, etc.);
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT / software development / data / AI;
  • At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience working with AI / Generative AI solutions in real-world (non‑POC) environments;
  • Experience delivering end‑to‑end solutions, from business requirements through to production;
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment (processes, security, governance);
  • Advanced proficiency in Python programming;
  • Hands-on experience with AI and LLM orchestration frameworks, such as LangChain or LlamaIndex;
  • Intermediate-level knowledge in the following areas:
    • LangGraph and/or LangChain for AI agents;
    • LLM APIs (Azure, AWS, Google);
    • Vector databases, embeddings, and RAG architectures;
    • API and microservices development.
