Test Automation Engineer

  

Position Overview

 

 

We are looking for a committed and skilled Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our system testing team.

In this role, you will apply your passion for software testing to complex access control systems consisting of interacting software, firmware, and hardware components. Your primary focus will be on designing and automating tests that validate the behavior, reliability, and integration of our software across mobile, on-premise, and cloud environments.

To ensure realistic end-to-end testing, you’ll go beyond the screen and work directly with physical devices—wiring hardware setups and integrating electronic components to validate real-world system behavior.

As part of an Agile Scrum team within a SAFe environment, you will contribute to quarterly planning sessions, helping to define and deliver high-quality testing solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders and multiple product development teams.

 

What you will do

 

 

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests based on requirements, aligned with our test framework architecture (C#, NUnit, Playwright) to ensure reliable system behavior for real-world access control applications
• Set up, configure, and maintain test environments, including hardware setups, ensuring stable and reliable test systems through structured and well-documented practices
• Execute automated tests (e.g., nightly runs), analyze results, and identify stability issues and product defects
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and continuously optimize test coverage, execution speed, and reliability
• Participate in PI Planning and collaborate within an Agile (SAFe) environment to deliver on agreed objectives while contributing to continuous improvement and a culture of quality
• Continuously develop your skills, share knowledge within the team, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing environment

 

What we require

 

 

• 3+ years of experience in test automation, including designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test solutions
• Strong programming skills with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns (e.g., C#, Java)
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools e.g. Jenkins is a plus
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience working with electronic devices, hardware integration, or test setups is a strong advantage
