We work closely with leading international partners including the EU and NATO, and contribute to major defence R&D programmes such as the European Defence Fund.

Join us to build mission-ready systems for today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges, and help shape the future of Europe’s security.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our Server Team and help build and evolve the C2 web-service ecosystem behind our products, working across backend and frontend services on areas such as real-time data, maps, system integrations, APIs, and performance. You’ll work in a small, experienced team with significant ownership, using technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, Svelte, and GraphQL.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain features across our Node.js, Svelte and GraphQL stack

  • Build functionality involving map rendering, data visualisation, system integrations and connected devices

  • Help standardise APIs and data exchange between systems and improve application performance

  • Design solutions, document feature data flows and architecture, and ensure new functionality is well tested

  • Investigate production issues using system data and continuously improve the codebase, architecture and development processes

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Platform and QA, gathering information and agreeing on solutions across teams

  • Take increasing ownership of features and initiatives, contribute actively to technical discussions, and over time help drive architectural improvements and lead smaller development efforts

What we are looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js, with solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals

  • Experience working with non-relational databases, ideally MongoDB

  • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, Angular, or similar

  • Practical experience with Docker, Git, unit testing and end-to-end testing

  • The ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, challenge ideas constructively, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • A proactive, quality-focused mindset and willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and problem spaces

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and using them effectively in your workflow

Nice to have: experience with Svelte, GraphQL, Tailwind CSS, real-time applications, map engines such as Leaflet or MapLibre GL, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana.

What we offer:

  • Meaningful work that supports our mission to create a safer and more secure world

  • The opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the development of innovative technologies and solutions

  • Flexibility in how and where you work, depending on role and project needs

  • Opportunities for professional growth and skills development as the company and projects evolve

  • Recognition for helping grow the team through employee referrals

  • A focus on employee well-being, including access to health- and sports-related benefits

  • Social activities and team events that strengthen collaboration and team spirit
