For our IT Applications Material Logistics & Cross-Functional Services department, we are looking for a Solution Designer / Software Architect. In concrete business projects, you will shape the future and transformation of the IT landscape within the ZEISS SMT Logistics domain. In this technologically exciting environment, you will work with logistics systems, material or data logistics, as well as cross-functional topics that may also include the supply chain or workflow solutions.

Your role

As Solution Designer / Software Architect (f/m/x), you are responsible for the complete solution engineering for demands and projects. You validate the business and functional requirements in direct interaction with the business departments. In addition, you derive the non-functional requirements together with other stakeholders such as IT Ops and Security. Based on the collected requirements, you create a development-oriented solution design, taking the target architecture into account. As part of an agile development process, you act as the link between the stakeholders in the business departments, the solution managers and the developers. You support and advise the development teams to ensure correct and error-free implementation.

Your profile

• A successfully completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a comparable field
• Several years of practical experience in software development / architecture or IT consulting
• A strong combination of business process and IT system expertise, for example in the areas of production or logistics IT
• Sound methodological and technical knowledge of software and platform solutions, ideally also in a manufacturing-related environment
• A confident demeanor, strong communication skills and the ability to inspire others
• A high level of initiative, team spirit and flexibility
• Very good German and English skills
