We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (unlimited, full-time) to join our Business Infrastructure Platform (BIP) team located in Tallinn.
The BIP team is the backbone of the organization’s infrastructure - designing, building, and maintaining the platform with 40+ teams onboard. From cloud engineering and automation to monitoring, security, and performance optimization, we make sure the foundation is rock-solid so others can build amazing things on top of it. What will be your challenge?
- Shape the future of our cloud infrastructure by designing, developing, and testing secure, scalable solutions tailored to real business needs.
- Build with the future in mind - implement new and enhance existing platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and Packer.
- Play a key role in deploying and maintaining services such as Kubernetes, HashiCorp Vault & Consul, and databases including Azure SQL Server, MongoDB Atlas, and RabbitMQ.
- Keep us proactive by creating and fine-tuning monitoring and alerting systems with Azure Monitor and New Relic.
- Document for clarity and scale – documentation not just for the team, but also for our internal clients, with a goal to make life easier for everyone.
- Take full responsibility for your work, from architecture up until implementation and monitoring - share and present your design decisions to the team, drive alignment and innovation.
- Collaborate and elevate - work closely with teams using the BIP platform to improve their infrastructure implementations and set them up for success.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Hands-on experience working with an infrastructure as code approach using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience working with Azure cloud and Kubernetes.
- Experience one of the scripting languages, PowerShell, bash, or Python.
- Experience setting up and working with security, monitoring & alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, New Relic, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD approach for application and infrastructure deployment.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
It’s a big plus if you:
- Bring experience from the banking or FinTech world
- Have solid skills in software development, cybersecurity, and application monitoring and support.
- Know your way around RabbitMQ or any other message queue system.
- Understand database and queue services - including backup strategies, monitoring, and data migration.
- Have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Are familiar with Envoy and Nginx web servers.
