WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Master Data is the backbone of any digital enterprise — getting it right is essential to enable automation, enhance decision-making, and deliver seamless customer experiences. As we continue to industrialize our data landscape, we are looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference by ensuring that our MDM systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with our global data strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand business needs, transform them into technical specifications, and estimate resources and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain features within the Stibo STEP platform, including customization of workflows, business rules (JavaScript), WebUI, and data model configurations.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and maintainability.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage code repositories, development tasks, and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure high system quality and performance by applying continuous testing, monitoring, and optimization strategies, including implementing security and access controls.
  • Support issue resolution, debug and troubleshoot problems within the STEP environment, and document solutions and technical progress.
  • Contribute to data integration activities by identifying, modelling, and linking internal and external data sources within the STEP architecture.
  • Actively engage in BASF development communities, promoting knowledge exchange and innovation around digital product development and data-driven solutions. 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • 2+ years of experience in technical development, configuration, and customization of Stibo STEP modules.
  • Solid understanding of PIM and MDM principles, with practical experience in STEP workflows, attributes, WebUI customization, and business rules.
  • Experience in working with shared and customized STEP environments, with knowledge of the tool’s core and advanced functionalities.
  • Familiarity with STIBO reporting/monitoring functions and good awareness of best practices in MDM/PIM development.
  • Proficient in JavaScript for business rules and comfortable with data modeling concepts in product/customer domains.
  • Hands-on experience with agile development tools, especially Azure DevOps, including version control and CI/CD setup.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Stibo Systems certification is a plus.
