About the Role

At ARX Robotics, you will lead the Verification & Validation function behind next-generation teleoperated and autonomous robotic systems. As Senior Engineering Manager, Verification & Validation, you will shape how complex robotic platforms are tested, validated, and prepared for safe and reliable operation in demanding real-world environments.

This role combines technical leadership, systems thinking, and people management. You will work closely with software, hardware, autonomy, and systems engineering teams to define scalable V&V strategies across the full product lifecycle. Your leadership will directly influence the quality, reliability, and operational readiness of autonomous systems deployed in the field.

What You’ll Build

  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary Verification & Validation team across software and systems testing
  • Define team priorities, organizational structure, hiring plans, and long-term capability development
  • Establish and execute comprehensive V&V strategies covering integration, regression, system, and acceptance testing
  • Build scalable validation processes that support the development and deployment of safety-critical robotic systems
  • Ensure full traceability between system requirements, test coverage, validation results, and release decisions
  • Develop and evolve Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) platforms, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD-integrated validation workflows
  • Lead proving ground and field-testing activities for autonomous and teleoperated robotic platforms
  • Drive test reporting, issue analysis, risk assessment, and non-conformance management across complex system environments
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams on integration readiness, troubleshooting, and validation planning
  • Support safety analyses, certification activities, and customer-facing validation efforts with technical expertise and clear communication

What You Bring

  • Experience leading engineering or testing teams within robotics, automotive, defense, aerospace, or other complex systems environments
  • Strong background in system-level Verification & Validation for integrated hardware-software systems
  • Hands-on experience with HiL platforms, simulation environments, or large-scale system testing operations
  • Strong understanding of software validation, integration testing, and automated testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scalable test automation workflows
  • Experience working in safety-critical or mission-critical engineering environments
  • Working knowledge of C++ and familiarity with ROS or robotics software ecosystems is beneficial
  • Understanding of safety and certification standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or comparable frameworks
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to align multidisciplinary teams
  • Professional fluency in English. German language skills are beneficial but not required

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
