Job Title

DevOps Engineer – Observability & Platform Reliability

This role bridges operational reporting, observability, and DevOps automation, supporting platform reliability across Amadeus systems. You will maintain and evolve SQL‑based operational reporting while progressively transitioning toward core DevOps responsibilities, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.

Ideal for a mid‑level engineer with strong data, observability, and operations foundations who wants to grow into modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise SQL queries for operational reporting, performance analysis, and incident investigation.
  • Analyse and transform data from multiple systems using SQL and scripting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Elasticsearch/Kibana to support monitoring, observability, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Support DevOps observability by improving log parsing, data quality, and query performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and operations teams to improve service stability and data accessibility.
  • Gradually take on DevOps responsibilities, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend workflow improvements.
  • Contribute to cross‑team initiatives and knowledge sharing.

About You

  • 5–10 years’ experience in DevOps, operations, or data‑focused roles.
  • Strong hands‑on SQL skills and experience with operational or analytical databases.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana (or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with DevOps fundamentals (CI/CD, deployments, infrastructure concepts).
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and Linux command‑line experience.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, IaC, or monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong English communication skills.
