Could you be the full-time hybrid BID and Project Engineering Manager in Wayside Projects in Katowice, PL we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project and engineering management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.
You'll drive the successful delivery of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and schedule commitments while fostering innovation in sustainable mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Core Team, Project Technical Manager, Methods & Tools Community), manage the technical contractual scope of projects, lead engineering activities, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Being accountable for the customer acceptance of the project solution

  • Validating the technical design choices to ensure alignment with project requirements

  • Managing the project technical risks and defining corresponding mitigation plans 

  • Ensuring all technical contract requirements are fully addressed throughout the project lifecycle

  • Overseeing project design and application engineering activities, including supervision of Verification & Validation activities and provision of BOM

  • Validating the Project Safety Case and ensuring compliance with safety standards

  • Allocating tasks across the Project Engineering team and defining the team organization according to the project phase

  • Deploying applicable engineering processes, methods, and tools on the project

  • Collaborating with Metier Leaders and the RC Project Engineering Metier to evaluate and support the project engineering team

  • Managing customer relationships in contractual situations and ensuring quality, cost, and delivery commitments are met

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, scientific subjects, or a Master in Business Administration/Project Management

  • Experience or understanding of project deployment and engineering product development across full lifecycle views

  • Knowledge of delivery processes and technical risk management

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management in contractual situations

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and task management skills

  • Strong decision-making ability

  • Analytical and critical thinking 

  • Problem-solving ability

  • Proficiency in English and Polish (oral and written)
