Airbus Defense and Space is looking for a

Full Stack Developer - Electronic Warfare Ground Support Systems (d/m/f)

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our interdisciplinary field of Ground Support Systems.
The job holder will become part of an agile team developing state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare ground support systems for the A400M, Eurofighter and Tornado platforms for international clients. Our products enable preparation, test and evaluation of mission data libraries before being uploaded to the aircraft, especially in the context of electronic warfare, defensive aids and electronic combat.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Software Engineering Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain front-end and server-side logic, databases, and APIs to ensure seamless data and test software throughout the development lifecycle based on customer requirements

  • Design Responsibility: Ensure feasibility, reusability, maintainability in software and interface design. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices. Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process.

  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new technologies and tools to enhance development efficiency and system capabilities. Collaborate with systems engineers, domain experts, and other developers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and translate them into robust software solution.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Proven professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development.

  • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Strong experience with back-end programming languages such as Python, Java, and associated frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).

  • Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).

  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and experience with unit and integration testing.

  • Understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

  • Experience with cloud and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • Prior experience in the defense, aerospace, or electronic warfare domain is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; German language skills are a plus.
