Senior IS Solution Architect for IS Security

This Position reports to:

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate in close alignment with the teams of Enterprise Architecture, Domain, Process and Technology Architecture on the topic of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and AI Security across organization.
• Document and maintain HLD and LLD for all the security technologies deployed and managed within infosec department and review periodically for changes that may impact the Information security roadmap for IAM and AI Security in ABB.
• Proactively collaborating with IS domains and 3rd party suppliers to ensure ABB Solution meets requirements from a Security Perspective and enables the organization to achieve its business goals.
• Defining requirement specifications in consultation with service owners, other department managers and architecture teams, and developing IAM and AI security solutions that can be deployed into the environment and handed over for service operations.
• Staying up to date with latest technology trends and apprises leadership of the changing trends and needs to adjust IAM and AI security roadmaps if external threat scenarios change.
• Analyzing the technical environments in which IAM and AI are deployed or used by ABB users or customers is maintained.
• Analyzing business requirements and maintaining a backlog of IAM and AI security use cases for ABB, and evaluating security solutions against the same periodically.
• Creating solution prototype and driving technology selection for IAM and AI Security Solutions.
• Support project managers and service owners.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensures that the IS solutions/services provides the required functionality, meet the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable. 
• Manages/monitors software development and analyses data to continually improve solution.
• Collaborates with and contributes to project setup and delivery and to service operations optimization. 
• Accountable to approve, sign-off, and build any solution to be implemented on ABB production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards.  
• Defines the technical IS solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration among IS solution architects and IS delivery units. 
• Engages in requirement engineering to decide the requirements to be covered by available standard functionalities.  
• Supports the validation and prioritization of incoming business demand, in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Owner and/or IS Lead Architect.  
• Reviews and signs off the functional and technical use-case specifications.
• Acts as the escalation point for solution architecture related issues. 
• Contributes to IS problem and incident management in managing the ticket volume by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects.  
• Supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid project or service delays or any other form of negative impacts.  
• Collaborates with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop, and deploy the best feasible and most cost-efficient IS solutions/services for the business. 
• Ensures manuals for users are created to describe the operating procedures. 
• Consults, advises, and supports on the installation of new IS solutions/services, or changing existing IS solutions/services.
• Contributes (if consulted) to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for IS strategy development and planning.
• Provides guidance to IS service delivery unit team and to IS project management team on utilizing IS application/solution standards, effectively.   
• Communicates the project delivery related decision demand towards project and service management, in collaboration with IS Lead Architect to ensure resolution and avoid delivery issues.  
• Keeps knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices, bringing learning into ABB, within in the scope of relevant IS solutions. 
• Participates in broader solution development framework community of practices.
• Assesses the ideas for efficiency improvement and value addition and decides based on their technological, financial, and functional feasibilities.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science  stream
• Certifications required- ITIL V4, Any recognized  security or Architecture certification
• Certifications preferred- CISSP, CSSLP, TOGAF,  Security+, Certified Cloud Solutions Architect (Azure/AWS/ GCP), ISSAP, IAM or AI Security specific certifications.
• Taking End-to-End Accountability of Project  Deliverable in a multi-stakeholder environment   where conflicting priorities may exist.
• Analytical skills for monitoring the market and  industry trends for security threats and technologies. • Documentation skills for creating business cases   including clearly defined problem statement, impact   and business value.
• Knowledge of various technologies and frameworks.
